Denvillage

Brian and Lex are now living in Denville, New Jersey. We have expanded our interest beyond music - how about, in addition to music, local events, town meeting summaries, and interviews with local Denville people? Sound good? Then keeping listening to this podcast stream! If you were hoping for more local North Carolina songwriter interviews, unfortunately, this is no longer the place. Thank you for listening to The Neville Quarter's Podcast all these years. Lex is now the primary how of this podcast feed and in this episode will introduce "DENVILLAGE" to you.

Stephen Beck is known for his mandolin and guitar playing in the Hillsborough based band The Shoaldiggers, but today is all about his songwriting. This is a rare opportunity to catch Stephen in a solo environment, but we have a feeling Lex and I will be brought along for the ride.

Stephen will be playing “6 Degrees of Freedom” and “Peter’s Song” and a random third song.

If you like songwriting, Jess Klein knows a thing or two about it. She has released 9 different albums in her two decade career and her newest release came out in February “Back to My Green”. We wish we could spend an entire day listening to her word craft and singing, but alas we only have time for 3 songs.

Today she will be playing “Wide Open”, “Fool”, and “Little White Dove”

We will be playing “Painting My Masterpiece” and “What Do I Know?”

Today’s featured guests are a duo known as “A Different Thread”. Their original songs are inspired by the music that has crisscrossed the Atlantic over the generations, in true folk fashion. Alicia Best (of Durham, NC) and Robert Jackson (of Lichfield, UK) were both traveling songwriters in their own right when they met busking in Ireland in 2016. Joining forces they have been on the road together ever since.

Today they will be playing “Behind the Curtain”, “Potter’s Field”, and “The Chase”

We are playing “Spin Like A Dance” and “Rose Colored Glasses”
